The CCADE (Canisius Center for Analytics and Data Ecosystems) Advisory Council plays a pivotal role in steering the trajectory of our program by leveraging the diverse expertise of its members across various industries. Comprised of professionals with extensive experience in analytics, the council members provide invaluable input for the development and refinement of our educational offerings, as well as employment information, enabling us to adapt to emerging trends and technologies in a rapidly evolving industry. This collaborative exchange fosters a relationship, where the council's real-world insights inform our educational initiatives, and our program, in turn, produces graduates equipped with the in-demand skills needed to be successful in today's analytics landscape.
Council Member Expectations
- Attendance and Participation: Members are expected to attend two meetings per year, held in the spring and fall. Active participation in these meetings is crucial for sharing insights and providing guidance.
- Industry and Employment Insights: Utilize industry experience to provide strategic advice on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices, and inform the program about current and emerging job market trends to help tailor the educational offerings to market needs.
- Networking and Partnerships: Assist in expanding the program's network by facilitating partnerships with industry stakeholders, which can lead to internship, job placements, and project opportunities for students.
- Internship and Job Opportunities: Actively share information and facilitate access to internship and job opportunities within their organizations or networks to help students gain practical experience and employment.
- Advocacy and Promotion: Act as ambassadors for the program by advocating for its initiatives within their professional and social circles to enhance the program's visibility and reputation.
