Resources for Graduates
Once a Griff, Always a Griff
Congratulations! You’ve worked hard and persevered with grace and style, and we couldn’t be more proud of you. We look forward to celebrating your graduation in May, but for now, we wish you all the best as you prepare for the next part of your journey. And if you’re not sure what those next steps might be, know that the entire Canisius community is here to help.
Don't Lose Touch!
College is for four years, but being a Griffin lasts a lifetime. And as a new graduate, you’ve just joined a powerful network of 50,000+ active alumni around the globe. Make the most of all the resources available to you now—and forever—as a cherished member of our Canisius family. Update your contact information, life events and more!
Work Your Network
Finding that first job will be easier with the help of fellow Griffs. Sign up for Canisius Connect, our secure online networking platform, and meet alumni of all ages from a variety of backgrounds. You’ll get valuable advice, gain career connections, and make new Canisius friends in the process.
Lifelong Career Support
From our Handshake app to resume review and interview prep, the Griff Center for Student Success can help you launch your real-world career. Best of all, career coaching through the Griff Center is a lifelong benefit for every Canisius graduate.
Further Your Education
Have you considered attending graduate school? Beyond increased earning potential, an advanced degree or certificate can open the door to a host of professional opportunities. Especially during a time of economic uncertainty, having a master’s degree will give you a competitive advantage over those who have only an associate or bachelor’s degree.
We even offer a special scholarship for recently graduated seniors:
You can choose from more than 35 graduate degree and certificate programs in business, education, technology, sport administration and health. Many of these degree programs don’t require the GRE or GMAT for admission.
A Year of Service
Maybe you’re feeling called to do something very different with your life right now. Why not consider a year of service? You’ll be able to build on the transformative experiences you received through your Jesuit education at Canisius. Choose from a variety of government, secular and faith-based volunteer opportunities. Then go out into the world and have an immediate impact—and learn more about yourself in the process.
Postbaccalaureate Fellowships and Scholarships
Resources are available for students and, in some cases, alumni seeking to apply for highly competitive, prestigious merit-based national and international grants and fellowships.
