Buffalo, NY - Canisius University's Athletics Department announced that its 2025 "More Than A Game" fall fundraising campaign raised more than $340,000 from 776 donors in support of the university's 21 varsity programs and 400-plus student-athletes.
The campaign, which concluded on December 7, rallied the Golden Griffin community around a shared commitment to student-athlete excellence in competition, academics and leadership development.
"The response to this year's 'More Than A Game' campaign demonstrates the deep connection our community has to Golden Griffin athletics," said Bill Maher, vice president and director of athletics. "This support directly impacts our ability to provide a first-class experience for our student-athletes as they pursue their degrees, compete at the highest level and develop into leaders on the field, in the classroom and beyond."
Donations to the campaign support the Canisius Blue & Gold Fund and individual teams, helping create an environment that encourages growth across all aspects of the student-athlete experience. The funds enable enhanced training facilities, academic support services, competitive travel and resources that help student-athletes excel in their sport while maintaining their academic commitments and community engagement.
