October 31, 2016

Buffalo, NY – Canisius University announces a partnership with the University of Dayton China Institute.  Canisius will offer students a study abroad experience in China beginning with the fall 2017 semester.

Rapidly growing and steeped in ancient history, China is one of the most alluring and enlightening countries to live in and explore.  The China Institute offers students the opportunity to learn the language, understand the customs and interact with China’s people.

At the China Institute, students will take courses, conduct research and immerse themselves in experiential learning. They will experience the rich culture and beauty of China through historical and cultural site visits, including seminars on Chinese society and culture given by guest speakers from multinational companies and professors from partner institutions. Students will interact with Chinese students from partner institutions and professionals from around the world from the Institute’s corporate partners, including Fortune 500 and multinational companies.

The Institute is located in the ultramodern Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP), a five-floor, 68,000- square-foot, state-of-the-art academic facility featuring engineering and science labs, classrooms, conference spaces, meeting rooms, offices and more. The China Institute is one of 26 universities with a presence in the Suzhou Dushu Lake Science and Education Innovation District.
