Mandatory International New Student Orientation

AUGUST 2020 Orientation

Orientation includes a mixture of academic sessions and social events, to ensure that you are acquainted with the college, the local community, our academic structure, and other students here at Canisius. All new international students for the Fall 2020 semester are required to attend International New Student Orientation August 24-26, 2020. Students who arrive to Buffalo on the scheduled arrival day, Sunday, August 23rd, will be able to take advantage of the free pick-up services from the Buffalo-Niagara International Airport. If students plan to arrive to Buffalo before this date, they are responsible for their own housing and meals, as students will not be able to move in to their campus residence before this date. Graduate students who plan to live off-campus are strongly encouraged to arrive to Buffalo prior to the mandatory orientation date in order to secure their housing in advance. All students must participate in the 3-day orientation with ISP to avoid registration issues and ensure their visa record activation in SEVIS.
