Parent and Family Orientation
Welcome to Summer at Canisius University!
We’re excited to invite you to our Parent and Family Orientation, a dedicated program designed to support the families of new first-year and transfer students as they begin their Canisius journey.
This two-day orientation takes place in July and runs concurrently—but separately—from the student orientation, allowing parents, guardians, and family supporters to explore the university, engage with campus resources, and better understand the Canisius experience.

During Parent and Family Orientation at Canisius, you'll learn what to expect during your student’s first year and how you can support their transition into college life. We'll highlight key campus resources and services available to your student, share strategies to support their academic and personal success, and provide opportunities to connect with the Canisius community and explore our campus.
Even if your student listed you on their registration form, we kindly ask that you also complete your own registration for the same session by clicking here.
Each student's orientation fee covers registration for up to two family members at no extra cost. Additional guests are welcome as space allows, with a small additional fee, payable at the time of registration.
