BUFFALO, NY – The Richard J. Wehle School of Business at Canisius University conferred two of its most prominent awards upon alumni during a reception held Friday, September 25.
Jonathan Patrick ’09, major gift officer for United Way of Buffalo & Erie County, received the Dr. Bernard L. Martin Award, which recognizes distinguished career achievement and commitment to community service. Linda Mariacher MBA ’84, corporate risk manager at M&T Bank, received the Rev. Thomas E. Fleming, SJ, Distinguished Service Award, presented to individuals whose dedication and service reflect the mission and values of Canisius University and the Wehle School of Business.
Jonathan Patrick has built a career dedicated to strengthening the Western New York community through philanthropy, relationship-building and service. As a major gift officer at United Way of Buffalo & Erie County, he works closely with donors, community partners and business leaders to advance initiatives that improve the quality of life throughout the region.
A member of the Canisius University Wehle School of Business Alumni Association Board, Patrick is widely recognized for his collaborative leadership style and commitment to creating meaningful community impact.
Patrick is a 2009 graduate of Canisius and earned a bachelor's degree in business management and marketing from the Wehle School of Business.
Linda Mariacher has spent more than two decades with M&T Bank, where she currently serves as corporate risk manager. In this role, she oversees product and service management within the bank's corporate risk function, helping guide policies, procedures and strategic decision-making. Throughout her career, she has held a variety of leadership positions spanning financial analysis, credit risk and loan review.
A longtime supporter of Canisius and the Wehle School of Business, Mariacher earned her MBA in finance from Canisius and has remained engaged with the university through her professional leadership and service.
