Full Time Employees

Welcome to Canisius College!

We are looking forward to welcoming you and helping you acclimate to the College.
 
In order to complete your onboarding process, please see the forms below that you must complete and return to Human Resources on or before your first day of work.

You must personally bring identification to Human Resources so that we can complete the I-9 form.  Identification for the I-9 Form must be produced within 3 business days of your first day worked.  A list of acceptable documents is available on the last page of the form.  The most commonly used forms are:

  • A passport or
  • A driver’s license AND a Social Security card or
  • A driver’s license AND a birth certificate

Additionally, as a full time employee, you are required to provide a copy of your marriage certificate (if applicable) and copies of birth certificates for any dependent children (if applicable).

Parking Information

You may park in the Churchill Tower Visitor’s Lot on your first day of work. You may register online for your employee parking tag by simply going to myCanisius;  login with username & password; click on Campus Services (left side), click Purchase Parking – follow the prompts – make sure to “submit”.

In order to purchase a permit you will need:

  • Your Canisius username and password
  • If you are not paying via payroll deduction, your credit card or checking/savings account information for payment
  • Vehicle description (year, make, model, color)
  • Vehicle license plate number

You can pay via payroll deduction, credit, or web check.  Your tag will be sent to you, once you’ve registered and paid, via interoffice mail on campus.  If you pay with cash, you must still register on-line, but will need to pay at the Student Records and Financial Services Office, Bagen 106 at which time you will receive your tag.

Part Time Employees

We are looking forward to welcoming you and helping you acclimate to the College.
 
Below are forms that you must complete and return to Human Resources on or before your first day of work.

  • Paid Family Leave Waiver

Paid Family Leave is only available to Part-time employees working 20 hours or more per week or 175 days (which do not need to be consecutive).  If you will not be working 20 or more hours per week or 175 days, then you are eligible to waive the coverage.  If a waiver is not completed the college is required to deduct a contribution from your pay until you complete the waiver.  For more information regarding the NYS Paid Family Leave go to https://paidfamilyleave.ny.gov/
