Benjamin Dunkle

In 1997, Ben Dunkle earned his Master’s Degree in Fine Arts, with a focus on Printmaking, at SUNY Buffalo. He began a career in the printing industry as a print technician, graphic designer and illustrator.

Mr. Dunkle soon shifted his focus toward learning and practicing everything he could about the emerging field of Web Design. He was promoted to the direct one of the first web and interactive ad agencies in the Western NY area. Concurrently, he taught fine art, graphic design, and web design courses at various higher level education and non-profit organizations. Teaching became his passion, and in 2001, he began his full-time teaching career at the College.

Mr. Dunkle’s areas of expertise include graphic design, web design, typography, and illustration. He has created custom fonts, icons, logos and graphics used on millions of websites, and built a vast educational curricula geared toward educating future graphic designers, web designers, and digital artists. He continues to practice traditional print media, and oversees printmaking and silkscreen workshops at the College.
