The Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute Challenge
A prestigious global association for investment management professionals, the CFA Institute is committed to an ethical business environment. Each year the CFA Institute hosts the top finance competition for university students, and teams from around the world are given the ultimate challenge: research, analyze and report on a publicly traded company and then offer a recommendation about buying, selling or holding. Students are mentored and given intensive training in financial analysis leading up to the competition. In 2015 the Canisius team walked away with the first-place trophy in the global challenge. They were among 4,000 undergraduate and graduate students from 865 universities in 70 countries. Learn more about the CFA Institute Challenge.
Canisius is honored to partner with Enactus, an international nonprofit organization that uses entrepreneurial action to transform lives for a more sustainable world. To teach entrepreneurial skills to members of our migrant and low-income populations, Canisius Enactus students spearhead three main initiatives: YES, REDI and SewREDI. The goal is to help more Buffalonians achieve financial independence. Watch a video.
