Faculty are committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and professional engagement with an emphasis on improving and informing business practices. In accordance with our Jesuit tradition, we are committed to educating the whole person, to using our skills in the service of others, and to a business work ethic of doing more and going beyond what is expected.
Leveraging our national rankings in accounting and finance, we will be recognized as the premier business school in Western New York. We will achieve this by combining innovative learning activities about real business problems with intensive leadership development rooted in Jesuit values. We will be recognized as thought leaders in the transformation of business in our region, and we will be a provider of choice among our alumni and the business community for continued professional development.
Our Program Offerings
Our reputation for excellence in business education is reflected in our comprehensive program offerings. Students can choose from eight undergraduate programs: Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, Economics, Entrepreneurship. Finance, International Business, Management and Marketing. We’re proud that national rankings from U.S. News & World Report put our Accounting program is in the top 10% and our Finance program in the top 5%.
Our MBA program is ranked the third-largest in Buffalo and Rochester by Buffalo Business First. Because we understand the value of flexibility in graduate-level education, we offer three unique options: Flexible MBA, MBA in Professional Accounting and a One-Year MBA.
In addition to sharing academic knowledge about core business concepts, our faculty bring real-world expertise into their classrooms. Many of our professors have worked at top firms in the U.S. and abroad, including Ernst & Young and Deloitte, and are well-respected in the local business community. All are dedicated mentors who give students a well-rounded foundation for both academic and professional success. We’re humbled that many of our graduates stay in touch long after they graduate.
As a Jesuit institution, we strive to be for and with our Buffalo neighbors. One way we do this is through our partnership with Enactus, an international nonprofit organization that harnesses the power of entrepreneurial action to transform lives and shape a more sustainable world.
