Undergraduate Ceremony Information*

Koessler Athletic Center ~ Tickets are required for all Undergraduate ceremonies.

College of Arts and Sciences ~ 10:30am (procession begins at 10:15am)**

During this ceremony, President John Hurley will confer the degrees for our honorary degree recipients and will confer the degrees for the students in the College of Arts & Sciences.  Each student will cross the stage and receive their diploma. The chosen commencement student speaker from the College of Arts & Sciences will address the students and guests.

Students graduating from the College of Arts & Sciences, honorees for this ceremony, and members of the platform party are to report to the Patrick Lee Center (Koessler Athletic Center) by 9:15am to prepare for their ceremony.
Guest seating begins at 9:30am for the College of Arts & Sciences ceremony.

School of Education and Human Services & the Wehle School of Business Ceremony ~ 1:30pm (procession begins at 1:15pm)**

During this ceremony, President John Hurley will confer the degrees for our honorary degree recipients and will confer the degrees for the students in the Schools of Education and Business.  Each student will cross the stage and receive their diploma. The chosen commencement student speaker from the School of Education and Human Services or the Wehle School of Business will address the students and guests.

Students graduating from the Schools of Education and Business are to report to the Patrick Lee Center (Koessler Athletic Center) by 12:30pm to prepare for their ceremony.
Guest seating begins at 12:45pm for this ceremony.

*Please note: New for 2022, there are only 2 undergraduate ceremonies.

parking

Graduates and guests are welcome to park in any open and available lot on Commencement day. Please follow any and all state and local regulations for street parking, as well as for handicap accessibility parking. Parking permits are not required to park in lots.  The Upper Koessler Lot will be closed, but will be available for pick-up and drop-off for those with mobility issues.  Shuttle service will be available to and from most lots.  See the map below.

Masking & vaccination policy for events

While Canisius College does not require masking or vaccinations to attend events, we strongly encourage attendees to wear a mask due to the high Covid levels in Erie County. We anticipate that this will remain in place for all Commencement ceremonies, Academic Convocation and Baccalaureate Mass, unless otherwise mandated by state and local guidelines.

The Undergraduate Commencement ceremonies will be livestreamed. The link to the ceremony will be made available on the day of your event.
