Alumni, family and friends of Canisius contributed more than $9.3 million during the university’s 2025-26 annual campaign, exceeding the university’s $9 million fundraising goal and marking one of the strongest annual performances in the past several years. The result reflects the continued philanthropic commitment in support of Canisius students and programs.

“We are deeply grateful to our alumni, families and friends for their extraordinary generosity,” said AnneMarie Haumesser, EdD, vice president for advancement. “Their support touches every corner of the university and helps provide our students with the opportunities, experiences and personal attention that distinguish a Canisius education. We are proud that so many members of our community continue to invest in our students and the future of the university.”

The 2025-26 campaign generated support across a wide range of university priorities. Canisius constituents committed more than $3.3 million to the Canisius Fund. Annual gifts to the Canisius Fund enable the university to allocate support where the need is greatest, including tuition assistance, scholarships, academic and athletic excellence, and programs that strengthen Canisius’ Catholic, Jesuit mission.

Additional highlights from the annual campaign:

•    Giving Day inspired broad participation across the Canisius community with 1,292 donors making 1,492 gifts totaling more than $795,000.

•    Support for the Blue & Gold Fund increased this year, totaling more than $625,000. Gifts to the fund provide critical resources for student-athletes, including scholarships, recruitment efforts and team travel.

•    Canisius students contributed more than $3,675 to the teams, programs and initiatives that matter most to them, demonstrating a growing culture of philanthropy among students.
