IAR - Grants

Grants are a key source of financial support for both research and clinical programming of members of the iar. The following is a sample of current and prior funding used to conducted a range of research studies, as well as provide clinical services involving individuals with autism and related developmental disorders. We are grateful to all the local, state, and federal funding sources for their support.

Donnelly. The GRIFFit high-intensity exercise program for children with autism spectrum disorder in Western NY. One-year grant funding two high-intensity exercise program studies (outpatient and summer programs) for children with ASD.

  • 2013 The Peter and Elizabeth C. Tower Foundation. ($357,118). PIs: M. Thomeer and C. Lopata. Three-year grant funding a pilot study of an outpatient treatment for children with HFASDs, a phase-4 community effectiveness randomized clinical trial for children with HFASDs, and a training program for dissemination of the treatment.
