Canisius College is an accredited institution by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, 3624 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104 (267-284-5000). The MSCHE is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
The Canisius College School of Education and Human Services is accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). The agency praised the school for “displaying the high quality necessary to be granted national accreditation” and noted that its programs “met rigorous standards set forth by the education community.” Accreditation was awarded to the School of Education and Human Services in 2005 and re-affirmed in 2010.

The Richard J. Wehle School of Business is the largest private institution in Western New York accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International). The college has held this distinction of excellence since 1977. AASCB is earned by the best business schools in the world, and only 5 percent of business schools worldwide meet the rigorous standards of AACSB International Accreditation.
