BUFFALO, NY – Colleges of Distinction named Canisius a 2021-22 “Top Education College of Distinction.” Schools are chosen for their commitment to nurturing and supporting future educators.

Created in 2000, Colleges of Distinction assists high school students and parents to identify colleges and universities that suit individual personalities and career objectives. To be designated a “College of Distinction,” a school’s curriculum must emphasize such core competencies as critical thinking, writing, oral skills, research, and global perspectives. It must also offer dynamic out-of-classroom learning and study abroad programs. The process is objective, in-depth, and qualitative; however, quantitative data as class-size statistics, faculty-to-student ratio, plus retention and four-year graduation rates are also considered.
