During this ceremony, President John Hurley will confer the degrees for our honorary degree recipient(s) and the degrees for our master's students in the College of Arts & Sciences, School of Education and Human Services and the Richard J. Wehle School of Business.  Each student will cross the stage and receive their diploma and the chosen commencement student speaker will address students and guests.

Tickets are not required for the Graduate ceremony. Doors open for guest seating at 5:30pm.

Graduates and guests are welcome to park in any open and available lot on Commencement day. Please follow any and all state and local regulations for street parking, as well as for handicap accessibility parking. Parking permits are not required to park in lots.  Shuttle service will also be available.  See the map below.

Masking & vaccination policy for events

While Canisius College does not require masking or vaccinations to attend events, we strongly encourage attendees to wear a mask due to the high Covid levels in Erie County. We anticipate that this will remain in place for all Commencement ceremonies, Academic Convocation and Baccalaureate Mass, unless otherwise mandated by state and local guidelines.

The Graduate Commencement ceremony will be livestreamed. The link to the ceremony will be made available on the day of your event.
