Clinical Assistant Professor of PA Studies
Dr. Scovazzo has more than 10 years of experience as a physician assistant with a focus in general and bariatric surgery. A few years after completing her bachelor and master of science in physician assistant studies, she elected to resume her education at D’Youville College earning a doctoral degree in health administration. Her passion for medical education became apparent to her very early on in her career. Over the years she has served as a clinical preceptor and adjunct lecturer for many physician assistant students. Prior to joining the faculty at Canisius University she served as the Director of Bariatric Services at Erie County Medical Center, a large safety net hospital in Buffalo, NY. Dr. Scovazzo is an active member of multiple professional societies on a local, state and national level. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading and attending group fitness classes.
