Canisius Students Benefit from Citi University Partnership

January 26, 2014

BUFFALO, NY – The Canisius Wehle School of Business has participated in Citi Getzville’s University Partnership program for the last seven years. Students can take advantage of summer internships at Citi and receive valuable career guidance from Citi professionals. Since 2007, 189 Canisius alumni have secured full-time employment at Citi.

Citi representatives have interacted with students at on-campus presentations to educate them about what jobs are available at Citi post-graduation, the bi-annual Golden Griffin Fund student presentations in order to provide feedback to students, and The Accounting Society’s Meet the Accountants Night each fall.

In addition, Citi representatives often serve as guest speakers in the Canisius classroom including the Majoring for Success class for undecided majors and in the One-Year MBA Program.

The Richard J. Wehle School of Business is accredited by the prestigious Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). It develops business professionals to lead within their organizations, to excel in the globally competitive marketplace and to behave as ethically and socially responsible individuals. This is achieved through teaching excellence, intellectual vigor and community involvement in the Jesuit tradition.

Canisius is one of 28 Jesuit universities in the nation and the premier private university in Western New York.
