For over 20 years, Mr. King has worked as a school administrator supervising various public and private special education programs in Western New York. Early in his career, Mr. King worked as a Coordinator and an Assistant Principal at The Summit Center (Getzville, New York). In February 2010, Mr. King took a position as Supervisor of Special Education for Erie 1 BOCES. In July 2014, Mr. King was appointed to his current title of Special Education Administrator for Royalton-Hartland Central Schools.

Throughout his career, Mr. King has enjoyed working with local colleges and universities in various capacities. Prior to coming to Canisius, Mr. King worked both for SUNY Albany (practicum supervisor for graduate students seeking certification in behavior analysis) and Daemen College (course instructor for SED547, Autism Methods). In 2003, Mr. King started teaching at Canisius University intermittently. Throughout the years, he has taught SPE653 (Behavior Management), SPE650 (Severe Disabilities) and PSY310/ SPE653 (Applied Behavior Analysis).
