Economics, Finance, Management, Psychology Student Letter

Connor Rosenecker
In May 2018, I proudly graduated from Canisius University. While I could have chosen better-known schools—including Notre Dame, Cornell, Boston College and Villanova—I knew deep inside Canisius was the right fit. At the end of my four years, I realized that life ought to leave you challenged and changed at every step. Canisius had precisely this impact on me.

I completed four majors (economics, finance, management, psychology)— thanks to all the professors and administrators who helped me on my journey. I learned about my talents and interests through Canisius’ Golden Griffin Fund and CFA Research Challenge Team. I gained valuable leadership experience and collaborated with many exceptional peers by serving as the VP for Business and Finance of the Undergraduate Student Association. Canisius prepared me for success beyond college, too. I am now in the Management Development Program at M&T Bank. However, who I am because of Canisius is so much more than these achievements.

At Canisius, we focus on core Jesuit values: magis (“more”); cura personalis (“care for the whole person”); men and women for and with othersfinding God in all things. These values strengthened my desire to help others, showing me the impact of service in unique ways.

At Canisius, regardless of your background or creed, you are encouraged and empowered to be who YOU are. I welcome you to join the ranks of distinguished students, faculty and alumni, and to discover who you can become at Canisius University!
