Alumnus Knocks it Out of the Park
Jagoda MS ’13 named director of national baseball team

Frank Jagoda MS ’13 was named director of the 18U National Baseball Team. Jagoda oversees day-to-day team operations as well as the 16U and 17U national team development programs. A graduate assistant and assistant coach at Canisius from 2012-2014, Jagoda helped lead the Golden Griffins to a first-ever NCAA Regional berth in 2013. Read more here.

 

Young Alums on Fast Track to Success
Business majors head GrowTech Industries

Rich Stapleton ’16 and William Jacobbi ’16 head the fast growing modular building company GrowTech Industries. GrowTech now operates under two branded segments: CannaBox Containers, highly specialized containers used by commercial cannabis growers; and GTI Fabrication, which focuses on general modular building contracts across North America.

Stapleton earned his bachelor’s degree in entrepreneurship and Jacobbi earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from the college. Both played Division I Lacrosse for Canisius. Read more here.

 

New Leader for Red Cross
Murello ’05 heads fundraising initiatives

Alexandra Murello ’05 was named chief development officer for the Western and Central New York Region of the American Red Cross. Murello previously was area director for the American Diabetes Association of Western New York. Read more here.

 

Janosz ’99, MS ’03 Named IceDogs Goaltending Coach
Alum chosen for expertise and professionalism

The Ontario Hockey League’s (OHL) Niagara IceDogs named Robert Janosz ’99, MS ’03, as the team’s goaltending coach. His more than two decades of experience includes working with the Buffalo Sabres and Florida Panthers, as well as several current NHL goaltenders. Janosz also scouted for USA Hockey. Alumnus is New Director of Operations at Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital
Greico MBA ’07 heads environmental services

Tom Greico MBA ’07 was appointed to director of operations at Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital, Lewiston, previously serving as director of financial services since joining the company in 2017. Greico is responsible for heading environmental services as well as dietary and perioperative services. Read more here.

 

Pathfinder Bancorp Promotes Rusnak ’81
Alumnus is senior VP and CFO  

Pathfinder Bancorp Inc., the holding company for Pathfinder Bank, named Walter F. Rusnak ’81 senior vice president and chief financial officer. Rusnak previously was first vice president of finance and accounting. Read more here.
