Buffalo, NY - The Richard J. Wehle School of Business at Canisius University has maintained its business accreditation by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
Founded in 1916, AACSB International is the longest serving global accrediting body for business schools that offer undergraduate, master's, and doctoral degrees in business and accounting. AACSB accreditation is the hallmark of excellence in business education. Accreditation has been earned by less than five percent of the world’s business programs.
“The Richard J. Wehle School of Business is the largest private institution in Western New York accredited by AACSB International,” says Richard A. Shick, PhD, dean of the Wehle School of Business. “We are extremely proud that the college has held this distinction of excellence since 1977. This achievement is a testament to the caliber of our faculty who continue to provide our students with rigorous academics to prepare them for today’s challenges and opportunities.”
Canisius finance majors participating in the Golden Griffin Fund, a student-run investment management program at the college, won the 2015 world championship at the prestigious CFA Institute Research Challenge. The Canisius team competed against finance students from more than 865 universities in 70 countries. The Canisius University Accounting Program is regularly ranked number one in New York State based on CPA exam results.
