Teacher Education Club Hosts Panel on Race to the Top

On September 26, the Teacher Education Club at Canisius University hosted a professional development panel which discussed local implementation of Race to the Top.

Race to the Top is a $4.35 billion United States Department of Education contest created to spur innovation and reforms in state and local district K-12 education.

Panel guests included: Anne Botticelli, director of curriculum for the Buffalo Public Schools; Dawn DiNatale, principal of Stanley M. Makowski Early Childhood Center, Buffalo Public School No.99; and Elizabeth Brandjes, director of educational partnerships at Canisius University.

The Teacher Education Club is advised by Associate Professors of Education Nicki Calabrese, PhD, and Nancy Bailey, PhD.
