Annual Soup With Substance

This may include, but is not limited to, motivational speakers, open discussion on current topics affecting people of color locally and/or nationally, and cultural entertainment. Four different cultural SWS programs are presented in align with ALANA and students are encouraged to assist in the implementation of these engaging events.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr’s legacy by featuring community leaders, many from Western New York, who share how the late Civil Rights Leader continues to influence their lives. Cultural excursions are culturally based co-curricular trips in which students are able to experience various aspects of a given culture through artistic expressions or historical context. The excursions change from year-to-year and are sponsored by the ASC at no additional cost to students.
