Kristin Smith

Kristin Smith's teaching career began back in 2008. She taught special and general education for 5 years before becoming a fourth grade teacher with Buffalo Public Schools. After 8 years as a classroom teacher for BPS, she became a Literacy Coach for the district. In this new role, Kristin provides professional development in all subject areas, helps teachers implement lessons, supports with tracking and using data purposefully, assists  with infusing technology into lessons, and more.

In 2017, Kristin became an Adjunct Professor at Canisius University teaching Technology in Education. She has a passion for using technology in the classroom to establish differentiated, engaging lessons and to help prepare students for careers that haven't even been created yet. Kristin actually loves it so much here at Canisius she decided to go back to school and is enrolled in the Educational Leadership and Supervision Program!
