Professor Stephanie Stroud has a very strong connection to Canisius University. She earned both of her degrees from Canisius and ran the Canisius Fund call center while completing her master's degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). Professor Stroud reconnected with the Canisius community in 2020 and allowed students to remotely observe her ESL classroom at the Hellenic Classical Charter School (Brooklyn, NY) during the pandemic.
Professor Stroud developed and led the ESL program at the Hellenic Classical Charter School for five years, teaching English language learners in grades K-8. She transitioned to a remote position as the school's ESL department head and now resides in Buffalo. Professor Stroud is certified in both Childhood Education (1-6) and in TESOL (professional certificate).
In 2021, she became an adjunct at Canisius and held her wedding at Christ the King Chapel, right on campus.
